Update:
RBC canceled the in-person portion on the day of the AGM, April 7, 2022. However, RBC still faced a growing call to phase out of oil, gas, coal, and tar sands funding, and instead invest in a safe, and renewable future.
RBC declined to answer a question from Melina Loubacan-Massimo from Indigenous Climate Action and refused to take questions from Sleydo’ and others from Gidimt’en Checkpoint and ended the Q&A portion of the AGM. Making it clear they were there to silence Native people and the opposition to funding climate destruction.
